Frequently Asked Questions

Every family’s journey is unique. These FAQs cover the practical things parents usually wonder about, so you can feel at ease before we connect.

About You & Graceful Growth

What is Graceful Growth and what makes it different? Graceful Growth is a safe space where parents and families feel heard and supported. I don’t just share strategies — I help you apply them in real life, at home, where it matters most.

Why the name Graceful Growth? For years, I gave grace to everyone but myself. When I learned to give myself grace too, I saw growth in both my kids and me. Grace + Growth go hand in hand.

Do you only work with families of neurodiverse children? No. While much of my work supports families raising neurodiverse children, any parent who feels overwhelmed or in need of encouragement is welcome.

What qualifications and experience do you have? I’m a teacher with 15 years’ experience, hold a Cert IV in Allied Health Assistance, and am completing my Diploma of Counselling. Most importantly, I’ve walked this road myself as a mum of four, including two neurodiverse children.

Do you offer in-person or online support? Mostly online, so you can connect from home. Some local in-person options may be possible — just ask.

Practical Details

Can I use NDIS funding? If you’re self- or plan-managed, you may be able to use your NDIS funds. I provide invoices so you can check with your plan manager.

Do I need a referral? No. You can reach out directly at any time — no doctor or therapist referral required.

What are your session fees? So that I can stay present with you in sessions and run on time, I offer:

Choose what suits your situation the best: online, phone, or in person.

For Parents Who Feel Overwhelmed

I’m already stretched thin — will this add more to my plate? No. My resources and tools are short, simple, and designed to reduce stress, not add to it.

Do you support siblings too? Yes. Siblings often need support as much as parents do, and I include tools and activities for the whole family.

Safety, Trust & Privacy

Is everything I share confidential? Yes. Your privacy matters deeply. The only exception is if there are concerns for safety and I have a legal obligation to act.

What if I need more specialised help? If another professional would be a better fit, I'll let you know and help point you in the right direction.
